Our Polish Herd

Our polish herd is small do to lack of consistent buyers but we love the breed to much to get rid of it all together and they are perfect for young or small 4-H members. We got into the breed because of how cute that baby bunny was in that craigslist ad and our passion for the breed has grown ever since. We love supporting people who are just getting into 4-H such as cloverbuds and polish is simply the best breed for young kids. Both for their size and temperament, and for the simplicity of the breed itself (showmanship questions wise).

OUR BUCK

Picture
Luna Lovegood
also known as loony is a super sweet broken chocolate rabbit with a big personality. She has a super rich dark color and a nice overall conformation. Her pattern is symmetric but has some white on her ears.
Lily
miss lily is a super sweet little doe who is registered with 4 legs and is now a brood mom (having developed a dewlap) she does have a long shoulder but she has a good hindquarter and loin, she peaks at the right point and produces nice babies.
Cornelius
Cornelius is a nice little buck he has a really nice shape to his hindquarter and a beautiful body type. His color is a rich chocolate and he passes that on to his kits. he is molting out of a slightly sun bleached coat in the photos but you can see around his head that super dark color.

Our New Zealand Herd

We are growing are New Zealand herd

London
London is super sweet and is the daughter of Snowball and Gizmo. She has the perfect mix of the 2 and we can't wait till she has her first litter and we really see what she can do.
Snowball
Sno is a super energetic doe who has a very nice loin and hindquarter. She peeks at the right point but she is underweight according to the ARBA standard of perfection. She throughs large kits with any buck so we believe that her size is due to some sort of stress during her development.
Clementine
Clementine is a big doe, their is nothing particularly special about her body type aside from her height to width ratio. the reason she is here is for her exponential growth rate, her kits get to at least 5lbs. by 10 weeks with ease.
Miss Molly
Molly is a super sweet doe who loves to cuddle. She is built like a rock, she has a late start to her shoulder but more then makes up for it with her peak and her Hindquarter
Colette is a personal favorite she comes out of one of my all time favorite does who unfortunately is no longer with us. The day Colette was born couldn't believe it she was so wide and the older she got the deeper she has gotten.

Ash
Ash is on the smaller side of the breed standard but he always throughs big litters of 7 or more that come out large and they grow fast. He has a good hindquarter and a nice loin.
Picture
Fluffy
Fluffy was named by our 6 year old neighbor he is the grandson of our buck Ash and was the pick of the litter at sleepy creek farms. He has a lot of depth and a nice even hindquarter, could he use more width? yes but he isn't pinched anywhere on his hindquarter or loin. He is one I am supper excited to see how he grows and matures over the next few months.

Junior
Junior is the son of Snowball and Gizmo and was born here on the farm in January 2020. He was not one who caught my eye, to be honest he looked ugly until late June. He was long and flat but he had his wide head and a body to match. With all the craziness this year has brought and him being the only one left to sell I dropped the ball on selling and just let him grow out and I am so glad that I did. I pulled him out to get pictures of him for one of the online shows I have been entering in and couldn't believe what I was looking at. He has one of the best top lines in my barn and has a nice wide lower hindquarter.
The difference between a breeder and a multiplier is that one breeds for specific traits that improve their animals whether that be to make a better animal through their own or show standards. While the other just keeps making more babies with no care for improving what they have. We choose to be breeders.
