PSA: Little Hill Farms is a 4-H run company. We pride ourselves in the care of our animals. We will not be selling to anyone who has not done the research or does not have proper housing set up for these animals. Animals aren't like Toilet paper, You can't just put them in the garage for later when things go back to normal. So I implore you to do your research and be sure this is what you want.
I feel the need to post this because of the abundance of messages that I have been receiving lately. All were asking for some variation of a breeding set of animals to roam a small backyard freely (goats). Some people were even planning on keeping the breeding set together and have them eat the available weeds with no other supplementary feeds (goats and rabbits). One person even thought it was ok for her rabbits to drink form the decorative goldfish pond in her backyard. I don't ask much but I do ask that the animal who leave my farm have a humane living situation and (if its their purpose) a humane dispatch.
Our most important rule is that you take the time to do your research on the care of the animals you are purchasing and thus bringing into your care. We love teaching new people about the animals we have or had in the past, so feel free to ask, we would rather you ask a stupid question then not and make a mistake at the expense of your animal's welfare. Even if you are buying the animal with the the intention of eating them. The animals still require proper care while they are with you and a humane dispatch.
We require that any animal that has to be held for more than 48 hours after the are weaned, is reserved with a nonrefundable deposit. The only exception to this rule is if they are being held because I can't meet with you until after this holding period.
Deposit costs are as follows and :
Rabbits - Full price
Goats - Half price
Pigs - not reservable to non-show families, show families get placed on a waitlist.
All payments must be paid in cash or through PayPal Friends and Family before the animal will be reserved
If for any reason you do not want your Rabbit(s), Pig(s), or Goat(s) at any time in there life you can bring them back and we will take them. We do not charge you for this nor will you receive a refund but you do have to bring it back to the farm. Just contact us and set a time for drop-off. If within 72 hours your Rabbit(s), Pig(s), or Goat(s) show signs of illness or we will either take the animal back and you will receive a full refund, pay for the vet (up to the original sale price) that is up to you. If your animal perished of something the a we or a vet confirm was our fault we will give you a full refund and (if available and desired) a replacement animal. We pride our selves in the health and welfare of our animals and hurt just as much as you when the worst happens to one of our animals.
The difference between a breeder and a multiplier is that one breeds for specific traits that improve their animals whether that be to make a better animal through their own or show standards. While the other just keeps making more babies with no care for improving what they have. We choose to be breeders.
