PSA: Little Hill Farms is a 4-H run company. We pride ourselves in the care of our animals. We will not be selling to anyone who is purchasing animals in a panic with the current covid-19 situation. Who has not done the research or does not have proper housing set up for these animals. Animals aren't like Toilet paper. You can't just put them in the garage for later when things go back to normal. So I implore you to do your research and be sure this is what you want.
I feel the need to post this because of the abundance of messages that I have been receiving lately. All were asking for some variation of a breeding set of animals to roam a small backyard freely. Some people were even planning on keeping the breeding set together and have them eat the available weeds. One person even thought it was ok for her rabbits to drink for the decorative goldfish pond in her backyard.
Our most important rule is that you take the time to do your research on the care of the animals you are purchasing and thus bringing into your care. We love teaching new people about the animals we have or had in the past, so feel free to ask, we would rather you ask a stupid question then not and make a mistake at the expense of your animal's welfare. Even if you are buying the animal with the the intention of eating them. The animals still require proper care while they are with you.
We require that any animal that has to be held for more than 48 hours is reserved with a deposit. The only exception to this rule is if they are being held because I can't meet with you until after this holding period.
Deposit costs are as follows:
Rabbits - Full price
Goats - Half price
Pigs - $25
All payments must be paid in cash or through PayPal Friends and Family
If for any reason you do not want your rabbit(s), Pig(s), or goat(s) at any time in there life you can bring them back and we will take them. We do not charge you for us to take your animal but you do have to bring it back to the farm. Just contact us and set a time for drop-off.
We Would Love to here from you
The difference between a breeder and a multiplier is that one breeds for specific traits that improve their animals whether that be to make a better animal through their own or show standards. While the other just keeps making more babies with no care for improving what they have. We choose to be breeders.
